Shreveport families came together to celebrate Father’s Day at the second annual Father’s Day Food Festival. The event, hosted by Tha Philly Station LLC at Louisiana Daiquiri Cafe, featured local food vendors, live entertainment, and activities designed to honor fathers and create family memories.
A Family-Friendly Event
Organizer David Jackson said he launched the festival after noticing a lack of Father’s Day celebrations in the area. This year’s festival included eight food vendors, live music, a DJ, a bounce house, and other activities for children.
Attendee Devin Green, who celebrated his first Father’s Day as a dad, said the festival marked a special day for him and his family. His wife, Destiney Green, wanted to celebrate him and show him a good time.
Percy Johnson, who attended with his two daughters, said the festival’s atmosphere made the day even more memorable. When asked about fatherhood, Johnson said it had a profound impact on his life, saying ‘They saved my life.’
