At least four people were shot in East Los Angeles on Sunday night, near where crowds gathered on the streets following the World Cup match between Mexico and England, officials said.
The victims were found in several locations along and near Whittier Boulevard at around 10 p.m., but the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said it was investigating this as one shooting incident. It’s unclear what led up to the shooting.
All four of them were taken to the hospital, the LASD said. Officials did not provide details about their conditions.
As of 10:15 p.m., a suspect was not taken into custody, the LASD said.
