AirCare was called to the scene of a shooting in Crescent Springs, Kentucky. The incident occurred when a man fired a pistol into the ceiling of a first-floor apartment, with four children upstairs. The man, Aaron Thomas, was arrested after a SWAT standoff.

According to court records, Thomas has a felony conviction from Texas and is facing charges including felony assault and having weapons under disability. The children were not hurt in the incident.

In a separate incident, a man accused of attacking Cincinnati police with a knife will be sentenced today. Patrick Lyons pleaded guilty earlier this year to charges stemming from the March 2025 encounter in Walnut Hills.

A fire also broke out at the Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky, with crews monitoring the situation. The fire started in a section of the facility used to process and store horse manure.
