Police say a dispute between two adult men over a parking space escalated into gunfire near Leon Day Park on Saturday evening, killing a 12‑year‑old girl and wounding three adults.

Baltimore Police Commissioner Richard Worley told reporters that officers responded to the 1200 block of North Franklintown Road at about 6:15 p.m. after multiple calls reported gunshots. Two men, described as adult males, opened fire on each other, and the preteen girl was caught in the crossfire.
The girl was taken to a hospital but was later pronounced dead. A 25‑year‑old woman and two men, ages 28 and 23, were also shot. All three surviving victims remain in stable condition.
