The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce is calling on young artists from Grades 1 through 6 to participate in the 2026 Sheridan Christmas Stroll Button Design Contest. This annual event invites students to showcase their creativity and community spirit by designing a button that captures this year’s theme, ‘America’s 250th Christmas.’
Celebrating America’s Milestone
This year’s theme is particularly special as it marks the 250th anniversary of the United States. The Stroll Committee will select a winning design that best reflects this historic milestone. The chosen design will be featured on the official Christmas Stroll buttons, a cherished tradition in Sheridan County.
The winning artist will receive $100 in Chamber Bucks, a framed version of their design, and the coveted Stroll Button No. 1. This is a wonderful opportunity for young students to engage with their community and celebrate a significant moment in American history through art.
How to Enter
Entry forms for the contest are available at the Chamber office located at 54 S. Main St., Kid Curious at 129 N. Main St., and online at the Chamber’s website. Participants must submit their entries by Friday, June 12. Submissions can be mailed to the Chamber at P.O. Box 707, Sheridan, or dropped off at the Chamber Office.
The Christmas Stroll event itself is scheduled for November 27, the Friday following Thanksgiving, promising a festive start to the holiday season in Sheridan County.
