Sen. Mitch McConnell’s office released a health update saying he’s still not ready to return to in-person work in the Capitol after his June 14 hospitalization.
Recovery Update
McConnell said in a statement, “I’m still working hard to get back to my full schedule of work in the Senate and in Kentucky, keeping up with intense physical therapy per my doctors’ orders.” He added that he won’t be able to attend the annual picnic in Kentucky this weekend.
His office released a new photo of him with his wife, Elaine Chao, and a statement from the Office of the Attending Physician, saying that the senator “continues his recovery from a fall at home in June,” and that he is not yet medically cleared to leave the rehab facility and return to the office.
