Indiana Republican Sen. Jim Banks stated that socialists have completely taken over the Democratic Party. In a recent Fox News appearance, Sen. Banks told Laura Ingraham that the Democrats have turned their party over to the Democratic Socialists of America.

Communist Influence

According to Banks, the Democratic Party wants to transform America into a country where individuals do not own property, and the government controls it instead. He believes this approach is rooted in communist ideology, which he describes as “shared poverty for everybody.” Banks also thinks that Democrats are following a playbook from communist China, aiming to revolutionize America and abandon its capitalist economy and the American dream.

Banks mentioned that leaders of the Democratic Socialists of America have “signed a pledge of allegiance to China.” He added that their plan, if implemented, would involve abolishing borders, ICE, police, prisons, the Presidency, the Senate, and the Supreme Court. Banks emphasized that the DSA is openly stating its intentions for America.

Furthermore, Sen. Banks expressed concern about the significant number of Chinese nationals working in America’s top AI labs. He was able to secure language in this year’s NDAA to require American AI labs to collaborate closely with the government to identify and counter insider threats that could compromise U.S. national security.

Banks has also been advocating for the Senate to cancel its August recess and remain in Washington to pass the SAVE America Act.
