A pickup truck driver in Selma faces serious charges, including possible DWI, after turning onto railroad tracks while a train was incoming. State troopers responded to the crash on Lizzie Mill Road around 11 p.m.
The truck and trailer were dragged hundreds of yards, leaving debris across both sets of tracks. The pickup truck driver was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
