Sean Penn, the renowned actor, recently shared a harrowing experience of finding himself alone with the infamous ‘Night Stalker,’ Richard Ramirez, in a Los Angeles County Jail.

The Unexpected Encounter

Penn, who was in his mid-20s at the time, had been incarcerated for 34 days due to a threat. He recalled being moved out of the general population and into a solitary cell, where he would often see Ramirez through a wire glass door.

One day, while Penn was shackled and belly-chained for a phone call, he was escorted into an empty room where Ramirez was already seated. Penn admitted to having thoughts of attacking Ramirez, given his notorious crimes, but ultimately decided against it.

A Chilling Autograph Request

Penn also shared an unusual encounter with Ramirez, where the serial killer requested his autograph. Penn, however, was cautious and only agreed to sign something if Ramirez wrote something first. The resulting exchange was a disturbing message from Ramirez, complete with a pentagram and a rendition of the devil.

Ramirez, who was convicted of 13 murders, died in 2013 at the age of 53 while awaiting execution on California’s death row.
