Scotland is set to face Morocco in a high-stakes World Cup match at Boston Stadium. The match is crucial for Scotland as a win could advance them to the next round.
Scotland earned three points with a win over Haiti in their first match in Foxborough, Massachusetts, while Morocco tied Brazil in New Jersey, giving them just a point.
NBC10 Boston caught up with some fans ahead of the big game, including some just arriving at Boston Logan Airport. One fan from Morocco expressed confidence in their team’s chances, saying, “It’s going to be an easy game against Scotland. Yes, we’re going to finish them.” A Scotland fan, Andrew Taylor, noted the significance of the match, saying, “We don’t make World Cups very often, so we don’t get here very often, so could be once in a lifetime.”
The MBTA is reminding fans who are taking the train to Boston Stadium to check their boarding group before heading to South Station. The T said people should arrive only during their designated boarding window to avoid long lines. Tonight’s game is at 6 p.m.
Other World Cup action happening today includes the U.S. vs. Australia at 3 p.m. in Seattle; Brazil vs. Haiti at 8:30 p.m. in Philadelphia; and Turkey vs. Paraguay at 11 p.m. in Santa Clara, California.
