A teacher was killed and several students were wounded in a school shooting at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Thailand on Friday, according to Reuters. The suspected gunman, a student, reportedly shot himself after the incident.
Details of the Shooting
Preliminary reports indicated that two people had been killed and 15 were wounded, one critically, said Thailand’s Poh Teck Tung Foundation, a major rescue group. The shooting took place at a well-known secondary school with about 3,000 students, located in the Bang Kruai district of Nonthaburi province, north of Bangkok.
Among those wounded were one teacher and three students, according to Reuters. Video verified by CNN appears to show students running out of the school, as a staff member helps to evacuate them. Emergency workers rushed to the scene with stretchers.
