Burning of Zozobra Details
Gloomies are featured performers who dance around Old Man Gloom before the figure is set ablaze, helping bring the annual celebration to life before an audience of roughly 50,000 people and viewers around the world. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 17, and auditions will be held Saturday, July 18, at Fort Marcy Park.
Participants selected for the cast must attend all scheduled rehearsals throughout August, as well as a mandatory dress rehearsal before the event.
