Santa Fe is preparing to host New Mexico’s official Fourth of July celebration at Franklin E. Miles Park. The event will combine patriotism, community pride, and New Mexico’s rich cultural history.
Celebration Details
The celebration will feature a large fireworks display and a custom drone show, with fireworks expected to begin shortly after 9 p.m. Gates to the park open at 4 p.m., and attendees can enjoy live local entertainment, food vendors, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
Organizers say the drone show was specially designed to reflect not only the nation’s Independence Day spirit but also Santa Fe and New Mexico’s unique identity. The Rotary Club will hold its annual pancake breakfast on the Plaza, with proceeds going toward helping disadvantaged children, scholarships, and grants.
This year’s celebration is being held at Franklin E. Miles Park, not Santa Fe Place Mall, which hosted the event in previous years. Organizers say free parking will be available at nearby state buildings off Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe High School, Milagro Middle School, and the Santa Fe Midtown campus, with shuttle service available from some locations.
