A tragic incident unfolded at a party in Santa Clarita over the weekend, resulting in a fatal shooting. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the altercation occurred just before 11 p.m. on the 20800 block of Centre Pointe Parkway. Deputies arrived to find two men suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities reported that one of the men, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was identified as the boyfriend involved in the dispute. The other man, who pulled out a gun and shot the boyfriend, was subsequently shot by another party attendee. The second shooter, who intervened, later surrendered at a nearby sheriff’s station and was released after being interviewed.

Investigators are currently working to determine the relationships between the individuals involved and whether the second shooting was an act of self-defense. The Sheriff’s Department has urged anyone with information to contact their Homicide Bureau or Crime Stoppers for anonymous tips.
