A person was hospitalized for treatment of life-threatening injuries after a shooting in Sanford on Saturday, according to police. Officers responding to the area of W. 14th Street and Bell Avenue located a victim with a gunshot wound, the Sanford Police Department said in a statement.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, police said, adding that the incident was isolated and there was no threat to the public. The incident was still under investigation at the time of this writing.
