San Clemente Couple Arrested with Ketamine and Cash En Route to Probation

A San Clemente couple was apprehended by Simi Valley police after a routine probation appointment stop led to the discovery of illegal substances and cash in their vehicle. The incident occurred on May 29, when officers stopped a 45-year-old man and his 39-year-old girlfriend on Alamo Street.

The woman was dropping off her boyfriend for his probation appointment when, as part of the probation terms, officers searched the vehicle registered to the man. Inside, they found approximately two kilograms of ketamine and $8,000 in cash, leading to the arrest of both individuals for possession and transportation of ketamine for sales.

Search Warrants and Further Discoveries

Following the arrest, detectives obtained search warrants for the couple’s residence on Calle Del Cerrito and several storage units in San Clemente. The searches, conducted on the same evening, uncovered a significant quantity of narcotics, with an estimated street value of $2.1 million. The initial investigation suggests the couple was involved in manufacturing and distributing illicit substances across Orange, Los Angeles, and Ventura counties.

The couple has been booked into the Ventura County Main Jail on multiple drug-related charges. The Simi Valley Police Department continues to investigate the extent of their operations and any potential connections to larger drug networks.
