This August, art shows in Salem will share a range of works, from painted portraits to items pulled from storage, exploring identity and history.

Between 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, the Salem Art Walk will bring live music, food and artists to galleries throughout downtown.
At Elsinore Framing & Fine Art Gallery, the work of pastel artist Vicki Brink will be featured from Aug. 7 through Aug. 28. Work from John Eells and abstract artist Arwen Edsall will also join the gallery this month.
The Hallie Ford Museum of Art is sharing a collection of drawings from Northwest artists, including Rick Bartow, Claudia Cave, James Castle, Carl Hall, Tom Cramer and Anne Siems.
Starting Aug. 7 at Salem on the Edge, the “Healing Hearts” series of paintings by artist Patrice Cameron will be shown at the downtown gallery this month.
An exhibition exploring the stories of objects stowed away in storage is showing at the Salem Art Association through the end of the month.
A solo exhibition by studio artist Mya Cluff will share her ceramics, sketches and words at the Salem Art Association through Aug. 23.
