Safe Harbor, a local nonprofit, has been serving the Greenville area since 1995. The organization provides pathways for individuals impacted by abuse to survive and thrive, and raises awareness of domestic abuse through community engagement and education.
Mission and Impact
Safe Harbor offers wraparound services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children across Anderson, Greenville, Oconee, and Pickens counties. These services include a 24/7 helpline, three 24/7 emergency shelters, housing assistance, case management, legal advocacy, domestic abuse education, support groups, and clinical therapy for adults and children. All services are offered free of charge, and the organization serves over 600 survivors each year.
Safe Harbor also offers prevention education programming for middle and high school students and conducts outreach and domestic-abuse education presentations throughout the Upstate community.
