The main loop is just over two miles, paved and well-maintained, making it equally welcoming to joggers, cyclists, stroller-pushing parents, and folks who just want a peaceful afternoon walk. Offshoots lead you deeper into the greenery if you’re feeling adventurous.
What sets Bonnie Wenk apart from your average city park is the sheer variety of things to do in one visit. Bring the kids early and let them loose on the expansive playground equipment — it’s genuinely impressive, the kind of setup that makes children lose track of time entirely. There’s a dedicated off-leash dog area that draws a loyal crowd of four-legged regulars and their humans most mornings and evenings.
