Rogers Heritage High School has opened a new health clinic, offering primary and urgent care services to students, families, and community members. The clinic, located inside the high school, aims to remove barriers to care and provide accessible health services to the community.

Partnership with Community Clinic

The clinic is a partnership between Rogers Public Schools and Community Clinic, a local healthcare provider. The space includes services such as blood pressure checks, blood draws, and lab testing.

Rogers Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Perry said having health care available on campus can help address barriers that keep students from getting the care they need. “If you’re in a classroom and you have strep throat, your ability to keep focus on the instruction is extremely limited,” Perry said.

Community Clinic CEO Judd Semingson said accessibility is one of the biggest goals of the partnership. “One of the biggest things is primary access that’s accessible and convenient,” Semingson said. “It’s holistic — not just the students, families and households where they are and where they need to be.”

Joshua Deal, a nurse practitioner with Community Clinic, said the clinic is also focused on helping patients develop healthy habits early. “If you teach them habits young, then they’ll do the same as they get older,” Deal said. “When they are 40, they’ll know how to do things and when to do things.”

The clinic is open to patients of all ages Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is located at 1001 S. Sixth Street in Rogers.
