The Houston Rockets are signing free agent Marcus Smart to a two-year, $13 million contract, according to reports. Smart, a 32-year-old guard, averaged 9.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.8 rebounds in 62 games with the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
Smart will reunite with Rockets head coach Ime Udoka, who previously coached him with the Boston Celtics when he won NBA Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2021-22.
