The Green Bay Rockers struggled to contain the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders’ offense, losing 8-4 at Capital Credit Union Park in Ashwaubenon on Saturday. The Rockers used five different pitchers, but couldn’t find the depth they needed from their new rotation.
Wesley Marien had a solid start, allowing just one run in the first two innings. However, the Dock Spiders’ bats came alive, scoring seven unanswered runs. The Rockers trailed 8-1 in the eighth inning before their offense started to come together, with Aidan Kuni hitting his fourth home run of the season.
The Rockers will head to Herr-Baker Field on Sunday for the final game before the All-Star break.
