The GAO reported that 96 percent of DOGE’s claimed savings on federal grants couldn’t be verified, and that the department took credit for spending cuts that were already in the pipeline.
The failure of DOGE to deliver on its promises is just one example of how politicians’ promises are often empty. The national debt continues to rise, with no plan in sight to reduce it.
