Dallas – The AT&T Performing Arts Center announced that Broadway alumni Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp will headline its 2026 Bravo! Gala on Thursday, Nov. 19, at the iconic Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House. Both actors originated leading roles in the groundbreaking rock musical Rent, which earned four Tony Awards in 1996, and later reprised their parts in the 2005 film adaptation.
Event details and performances
The gala will begin at 6 p.m. and feature Pascal and Rapp performing selections from Rent alongside other musical pieces. The evening continues the Center’s tradition of showcasing the work of its five resident companies, including the Dallas Opera, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Texas Ballet Theater, Dallas Theater Center, and Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico.
Honoring a longtime patron
The Center will also honor arts patron and philanthropist Barbara Thomas Lemmon. Lemmon, a founding member and longtime board member, has helped shape the Center’s mission for nearly two decades. “The Center and its stunning venues have been a passion of mine for many years,” Lemmon said. “This place certainly reflects the ambition, imagination and confidence of Dallas, while also providing a welcoming space where everyone can enjoy the performing arts.”
Family legacy of support
This year’s gala will be co‑hosted by three generations of AT&T Performing Arts Center supporters: Caren Prothro, a founding board member and Life Director; her daughter, Nita Prothro Clark; and granddaughter, Lili Clark. Caren Prothro joined the Center’s board in 2001 and helped lead the record‑breaking capital campaign that built the Winspear Opera House. Nita and her husband Cullum have been longtime supporters, and their daughter Lili serves on the Center’s Auxiliary Board.
Impact on the community
Proceeds from the Bravo! Gala directly fund the Center’s arts‑education and community‑engagement programs, which serve students in Dallas and Richardson ISDs. Programs include Open Stages, Backstage Spotlight, the Young Women’s Leadership Conference, the North Texas Ballet Folklorico Contest, and Disney Musicals in Schools presented by the Moody Foundation. By attending, guests invest in expanding access to high‑quality arts experiences for families across the region.
