Greenville, S.C. – Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) announced on Sept. 22 that every one of its nine water‑resource recovery facilities has been honored with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies’ (NACWA) Peak Performance Awards. The awards celebrate the utility’s 2025 compliance record and overall performance under its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits.
Outstanding compliance across the board
Three of ReWa’s plants earned the coveted platinum level for achieving 100 % compliance for at least five consecutive years. Those facilities are Dublin Creek, Piedmont, Lower Reedy, Pelham, and North Greenville University, each of which was recognized for perfect compliance in 2025. The Gilder Creek plant received a special commendation for outstanding compliance despite recording a single violation during the year.
Impact on the Upstate water supply
Through its network of nine treatment sites, ReWa processes and returns roughly 41 million gallons of water each day to rivers and streams throughout the Upstate region. This volume supports both environmental health and the water needs of local families, businesses, and farms, reinforcing the utility’s role as a cornerstone of community infrastructure.
