Broken Arrow residents will have to wait a few more weeks for the city’s new $103 million, 12,500‑seat Regent Bank Amphitheater to host its first public performance. The venue’s opening show, originally slated for early December as part of a “Winter Preview,” was canceled and the official opening has been pushed to New Year’s Eve, according to the Broken Arrow Sentinel.
In September, amphitheater officials announced an early‑December launch with a two‑night preview on Dec. 4 and 5. However, venue spokeswoman Chloe Polhamus said unexpected shifts in supply and vendor timelines moved final installation past early December, making the preview nights logistically impossible. “These changes were outside of our control and made Preview Nights on December 4 and 5 unable to execute,” Polhamus said, adding that ticket holders will receive full refunds.
The first scheduled performance will be the Randy Rogers Band on Dec. 31 at 8 p.m., a concert the amphitheater plans to market as a “one‑time first‑night” experience. After that, the venue’s next announced event is not until March 16, 2027, when “Roger Waters presents LEGACY — a Pink Floyd tribute show performed by the Harry Waters Band.” The March show will feature a 10‑piece band and stage production designed by Roger Waters, according to the amphitheater’s website.
When the amphitheater was originally slated to open last year, design changes and construction delays already pushed the date back. Company officials previously said the building would be finished in early to mid‑November, followed by staff onboarding and training. The venue will initially use its smaller 5,000‑seat configuration for the first shows, rather than the full 12,500‑seat capacity.
Local officials and business leaders have expressed optimism that the delayed opening will still provide a major cultural and economic boost for Broken Arrow. The amphitheater is expected to draw regional audiences, support local vendors, and create ongoing employment opportunities once fully operational.
What’s next: Residents with tickets to the canceled preview nights will receive refunds. The Randy Rogers Band concert on Dec. 31 is the first public event, and the venue will begin regular programming after that, with the next major announced show set for March 16, 2027.
