Red Flag Warning issued for Southern Colorado

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Southern Colorado by the National Weather Service in Pueblo, effective from 10 AM Thursday to midnight MDT Thursday night. The warning indicates critical fire weather conditions, with southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph and gusts up to 35 mph, as well as relative humidity as low as 5 percent.

High fire danger is expected, with fires likely to catch and spread rapidly and erratically. The warning affects Fire Weather Zones 226, 227, 228, and 230.
