Rays Caminero To Compete In Home Run Derby

Following a week of impressive performance, Rays slugger Junior Caminero announced his participation in the Home Run Derby during All-Star Week in Philadelphia.

Record-Breaking Performance

Caminero’s seven home runs in six games tied him with notable players like Bryce Harper and Willie Horton for the most by a hitter age 22 or younger since at least 1900.

He became the youngest Ray to homer in four straight games, showcasing his special kind of power. Caminero will have a chance to avenge his runner-up finish in last year’s Home Run Derby and potentially become the youngest player to win the competition.
