A coveted Cooper Flagg rookie card was found in his home region of New England. Members of RhodyBreakers, a group within the Baseball Cards of Rhode Island card shop, unpacked the prized rookie card of the Maine native Monday night during a live stream.
The card has drawn attention across the world of sports collectibles. It features a patch from the jersey Flagg wore during the first half of his NBA debut with the Dallas Mavericks, as well as his signature after he autographed the card at Fanatics Fest last month.
A similar, one-of-a-kind rookie card for Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes fetched $1.11 million last year, and Flagg’s card is expected to exceed that value after he was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year for 2025-26.
The Mavericks have made a push to acquire the card. The team offered a “1 of 1 for 32” package that includes the following: the Flagg card was released as part of the 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball set, which features rookie debut patch autograph cards from the 2025 NBA Draft class.
