Rapids Water Park in Riviera Beach has reopened after a bomb threat forced the evacuation of guests and staff the day before. According to Riviera Beach police, the incident began when the park received a threatening phone call. The caller claimed that “everyone is going to die” and that there was a bomb on the property.
Three Riviera Beach police officers were already at the water park when the threat was reported, and additional officers quickly responded to help secure the area. Park guests and employees were evacuated as authorities searched the property. Investigators later determined it was safe for people to return.
A Rapids Water Park spokesperson thanked law enforcement for their response and expressed appreciation for the patience and cooperation of guests during the incident. Police have not released information about whether any explosive devices were found. Authorities also have not said whether anyone has been arrested in connection with the threat.
