Qantas Airways announced that it and its low-cost arm Jetstar will launch commercial passenger services from the Western Sydney International Airport when it opens on October 25 later this year.
Flight Details
Jetstar plans to operate up to 14 weekly flights to Melbourne, as well as four weekly flights to the Gold Coast and three to Brisbane. Qantas services will commence on March 28 next year, with four weekly flights each to both Melbourne and Brisbane.
The airline also announced that its inaugural freighter service will take off from the airport’s 24-hour cargo precinct on the evening of July 27. Additionally, Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand will also launch services from the new airport.
