Punch Bowl Social is one of those rare places that defies easy categorization. It is not quite a restaurant, not quite a bar, not quite an arcade, and not quite a bowling alley — it is all of those things simultaneously, layered together with an energy that manages to feel both lively and genuinely comfortable. The space itself is enormous, sprawling across multiple levels with high ceilings, warm Edison-bulb lighting, and the kind of thoughtful industrial design that makes you feel cool just by being inside it.

Indianapolis has no shortage of great places to spend a night out, but few of them manage to feel like this much fun without trying too hard.
