East Hartford town officials are warning drivers to prepare for heavy traffic on Monday as thousands of fans head to Pratt and Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field for the Post Malone and Jelly Roll concert.

The show is set to begin at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Officials said heavy traffic is expected to begin about two hours before the concert starts and after it ends. The performance is the only New England stop on the duo’s tour, called “The Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2.”
Delays are expected on Silver Lane, Roberts Street, Simmons Road, and I-84 East and West. Police are encouraging motorists to allow extra travel time, follow traffic signs and directions, remain alert for increased pedestrian activity near the stadium, and be patient.
The town also recommends carpooling or using rideshare services to help ease congestion. Rideshare will have designated pick-up and drop-off locations, according to officials. Parking at Rentschler Field will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Premium and super premium parking passes can be purchased in advance or on the day of the event.
In response to concerns from nearby residents, town officials said the concert stage has been positioned so amplified sound will travel west across the RTX Technology Research Center campus and toward the Connecticut River, rather than toward neighborhoods in East Hartford and Manchester.
The East Hartford Police Department will have officers on site to assist with traffic management and safety throughout the event. “Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us welcome visitors to our community as we continue to elevate right here in East Hartford!” the town said on its website.
