The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating what may have been an accidental shooting in Pompano Beach. Authorities received a report about an accidental shooting at around 10:12 p.m. Wednesday near the 4000 block of Southwest 15th Street.
Deputies and fire rescue personnel responded, and while on their way, were told that the victim’s parents had taken them to a nearby fire station. Fire rescue treated the victim and transported them to a hospital for treatment.
Detectives with BSO’s Crime Scene and Violent Crimes Units are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, authorities said.
