Plano restaurants extend brunch for Labor Day weekend

Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7, and Plano’s dining scene is ready to help residents stretch the holiday weekend. A handful of popular local restaurants have announced extended brunch hours and special prix‑fixe menus, giving families and friends more time to gather around good food and conversation.

Bulla Gastrobar – Spanish‑style brunch

Located in Legacy West at 6007 Legacy Drive, Suite 180, Bulla Gastrobar will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7. The three‑course prix‑fixe menu features Andalusian gazpacho, a Bulla Benedict, brunch paella, and a chef’s board of Spanish cheeses and charcuterie. Sweet‑tooth diners can also enjoy blueberry‑ricotta pancakes, hazelnut waffles and dulce empanadas.

Sixty Vines – Wine‑focused brunch

At 3701 Dallas Parkway, Sixty Vines will keep its brunch service on Monday, September 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The restaurant’s regular brunch offerings include shareable plates and classic brunch dishes, complemented by its signature selection of 60 wines on tap.

Haywire – Texas‑inspired comfort

Haywire, also in Legacy West (5901 Winthrop St.), will extend its brunch to Labor Day, serving from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. The menu highlights include blueberry biscuits, chicken‑and‑waffles, and cinnamon‑orange pancakes, all paired with handcrafted cocktails.

Whiskey Cake – Cocktail tower brunch

At 3601 Dallas Parkway, Whiskey Cake will offer an extended Labor Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday. Guests can choose from chicken‑and‑waffles, short‑stack pancakes, and a variety of brunch‑appropriate cocktails, including the restaurant’s signature cocktail tower.

Mexican Sugar – Latin‑flavored brunch

Mexican Sugar, located at 7501 Lone Star Drive in Legacy West, will keep its brunch open through Labor Day, serving from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday. The menu blends Latin‑inspired dishes with signature brunch cocktails, providing a festive option for those who want to stretch the weekend a little longer.

All of these establishments are offering extended hours and special menus to accommodate the holiday, making it easier for Plano families to enjoy a relaxed meal without rushing back to work. Whether you prefer a Spanish‑style spread, a wine‑centric brunch, or classic Texas comfort food, there’s a Labor Day option to suit every palate.

Planners should note that each restaurant’s hours are limited to the holiday Monday, so it’s wise to arrive early or make a reservation where possible. With the weather expected to be mild, outdoor seating is also likely to be available at many of these venues, providing a pleasant setting for holiday gatherings.

For more details on each restaurant’s menu and reservation policies, visit their respective websites or call ahead. Enjoy a safe, family‑focused Labor Day weekend in Plano.
