The City of Plano is inviting the media and the public to see the proposed Willow Bend District, which could one day be the home of the Dallas Stars. The city is recruiting the Stars from Victory Park in Dallas. The Stars want a new arena and an entertainment district surrounding it, similar to the one in Arlington.
Community Open House Details
The community open house is scheduled for Wednesday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Tuesday, July 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., at The Shops at Willow Bend. The entrance will be near Equinox and Crate & Barrel. A self-guided virtual tour will also be available until July 22.
Plano City Council has already advanced the Stars’ arena proposal with a unanimous vote last month. The next steps in the development process include traffic modeling to understand how the area will impact traffic.
