The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is awaiting contact from Mexican authorities regarding an anonymous tip about a possible grave site for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie in Sonora, Mexico.
Investigation Ongoing
Guthrie vanished from her Tucson, Arizona, home in February, and authorities believe she was abducted. A doorbell camera video shows a masked man wearing gloves on the front steps of the home around the time of Guthrie’s abduction.
Buscando Corazones Nogales, a collective that works to locate people missing in Mexico, received the tip that a grave belonging to Guthrie may have been found in the Mariposa area near Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. The tipster said searchers could find a body matching Guthrie’s description in the area.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that the department is aware of the reports regarding the anonymous tips and will continue to follow up on any credible information.
