Piedmont firefighters recently responded to an unusual call after a horse became stuck in mud. The horse, named Dancer, was eventually freed from the mud after an extensive rescue operation and was reportedly a little cranky before getting a shower from a garden hose.
Fire officials said firefighters also got a shower with a garden hose when they returned to their station. The rescue operation was led by the Piedmont Fire Department, who were called to assist Dr. Mike Johnston with Equine Medical Associates, Inc. of Oklahoma.
