A Los Angeles trading card shop was burglarized Tuesday, with thieves making off with $10,000 worth of Pokémon cards. The latest burglary was reported at 3 a.m. at the Poke Mall shop in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood. Police said three male suspects smashed their way into the store on Robertson Boulevard.
The suspects were wearing white surgical masks and all-dark clothing and fled in a black Mercedes-Benz, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The vehicle was last seen headed south on Robertson toward the Santa Monica (10) Freeway.
The owner noted on Instagram that it was a “rough start” to the morning, but the business is “going strong” along with an image of the boarded-up front door to the shop.
