Perry is preparing to host approximately 25,000 RAGBRAI riders on Tuesday, serving as a meeting stop to provide a midday break for cyclists on the route.
Preparations Underway
Barricades have been set up on streets in downtown Perry in anticipation of the riders’ arrival. The city has planned food, drinks, and entertainment for the riders, including a sneak peek of the new RAGBRAI Museum in the Carnegie Library.
Additionally, riders will have the chance to try a mechanical riding pig, as part of the city’s efforts to create memorable experiences for visitors.
