Perez Hilton, a celebrity blogger, livestreamed what appeared to be self-harm on his TikTok account. His family said his three children, niece, and sister were inside the home minutes before the livestream.

Hilton’s Family Statement

Hilton’s family stated they fled to protect the children from witnessing further trauma after it became clear that Hilton was harming himself. The family implored the public to leave the area surrounding their home and not return.

Hilton, 48, is a single parent to his children, all under 14, born via surrogacy. His family’s highest priority is helping the children heal from what they experienced.

A spokesperson for the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to reports of someone livestreaming acts of self-harm on social media. Hilton was safely recovered and taken to a hospital for medical attention.

Hilton’s Medical Care

Hilton’s family confirmed he is receiving medical care and is able to communicate, giving the family hope. Hilton was hospitalized at least twice in recent months for an ulcer, sepsis, and deep vein thrombosis.
