Pendleton County Senior Achieves 13 Years of Perfect School Attendance

Klaber Wolfe, a senior at Pendleton County High School, has achieved a remarkable milestone: perfect attendance over his entire 13-year school career. This extraordinary accomplishment was celebrated by his school and community, marking a rare event that hasn’t been seen in over a decade.

A Community Celebration

Family, friends, and school officials gathered to honor Wolfe’s dedication. The celebration included a limousine ride with his best friends, applause from family and staff members, and a red-carpet welcome at the school. Wolfe posed for pictures and enjoyed the spotlight as the community recognized his steadfast commitment to education.

Joe Buerkley, superintendent of Pendleton County Schools, expressed pride in Wolfe’s achievement, noting that it’s the first time since the 2015-16 school year that such a feat has been recognized. “We are very excited to see what he’s going to do in the future,” Buerkley said. “We know that he’s set up and ready to do great things.”

Dedication Through Challenges

Wolfe’s perfect attendance is particularly noteworthy given the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted school schedules nationwide. His commitment to attending school every day, regardless of circumstances, exemplifies a strong work ethic and dedication to education.

As Wolfe’s high school journey concludes, the community looks forward to his future endeavors, confident that his work ethic will continue to bring him success. The celebration of his perfect attendance serves as an inspiration to students and families, highlighting the importance of perseverance and commitment in education.
