From Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 7, parts of the county pathways in Jackson, Wyo. will be closed for annual maintenance and sealcoating. Several segments of the pathway will be closed temporarily for up to four hours at a time, and could close more than once during the week.
Affected Pathways
Garaman Park will remain open, and signs will be posted along affected pathways with estimated closure dates and times. Friends of Pathways (FOP) and Teton County remind residents to avoid freshly sealed sections, as the sealant could remain hot and cause injuries or damage to bikes and shoes.
This year, work will be done on the following segments of pathway: South Park Loop Pathway from Blair Drive to West Boyles Hill Road, South Park Loop Pathway from West Boyles Hill Road to Red House Drive, South Park Loop Pathway from Grand Teton Circle to US89, US89/Von Gontard Pathway from South Park Loop Road to Old West Cabins, and Garaman Pathway from Gregory Lane to Elk Run.
Pathway users can expect to encounter construction crews, large equipment and trucks in work zones, and should exercise caution in and around those areas.
