A new giant metal troll sculpture has been installed beneath the Palmer Lake Pedestrian Bridge, and it’s already becoming a part of the community. The sculpture, created by blacksmith and sculptor Jodie Bliss, was designed specifically for Palmer Lake and is inspired by Scandinavian folklore.
Community Reaction
Bliss said the response to the sculpture has been ‘absolutely incredible’ and that she loves hearing people call it ‘our troll.’ The sculpture has become a popular spot for photos, and Bliss enjoys watching people interact with it and discover its little details.
Bliss drew inspiration from her Swedish heritage and Scandinavian folklore, where trolls are closely tied to nature. The sculpture is meant to look like it’s always been beneath the bridge, and Bliss is happy to see it becoming a part of the community.
