A Palm Beach Gardens teenager is facing several felony charges after police said he fired multiple shots during an argument outside an apartment complex. The incident began when the 18-year-old, Nivahn da Martinique Walker, and another man got into an argument outside an apartment. Witnesses told investigators that Walker pulled out a semi-automatic rifle and fired several shots during the confrontation. One bullet struck a parked Tesla, but no injuries were reported.
Officers later found Walker near Interstate 95 after receiving a report about a person matching the suspect’s description. A witness identified him as the shooter, according to the report. Investigators said Walker admitted to firing a warning shot and later firing additional rounds to scare the other man away. He also told detectives he threw the gun away after the shooting.
Walker was charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm by a delinquent, and three counts of child abuse because children were nearby during the incident, police said. The case remains under investigation.
