The Green Bay Packers were without their top ball carrier, Josh Jacobs, for Thursday’s practice due to a groin injury. However, it does not appear to be a long-term concern.
Player Updates
Another running back, Chris Brooks, is sitting out practices with a hamstring injury. MarShawn Lloyd is okay now, but he has a long history of missing time with injuries.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about the plan for Lloyd moving forward, given his injury history. LaFleur also had an update on Carrington Valentine and Jordan Morgan’s play at left tackle.
Family Night
It’s Family Night Friday night at Lambeau Field. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst talked about how his family loves Family Night and shared a story about Ted Thompson.
Gutekunst also discussed kicker Trey Smack, who had some accuracy issues earlier in the week. Gutekunst talked about why drafted kickers don’t have a great track record of sticking with the same team and said he’s still hoping to add a kicker in camp.
