Oklahoma fans are heading to Omaha as the Sooners return to the College World Series championship game for the first time in four years. Charis Itiveh, an OU senior, expressed her excitement, saying, “I am super excited. We just get to spread that joy with everyone.”
Omaha Prepares for Baseball Season
Omaha is gearing up for baseball season, a time when the city becomes a hub for fans and events. Jasmyn Goodwin, executive director of Visit Omaha, highlighted the city’s reputation during the College World Series, saying, “We are the baseball capital of the world this time in June. I am being very serious.” Goodwin also mentioned that Omaha offers 900 hotel rooms within walking distance of the stadium, various entertainment districts, and plenty of food options.
As for Itiveh, she is ready to cheer on her team, saying, “Boomer Sooner! There’s only one.” The first pitch of the series is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m.
