John Madigan, a 40-year-old Oshkosh father, pleaded not guilty on Monday to charges that he interfered with a custody order by taking his 6-year-old son to California.

According to court records, Madigan is scheduled to stand trial on August 4. The Oshkosh Police Department had previously asked for help in locating Madigan and his son, who were later found safe in Los Angeles on April 30.
