Orlando Remembers Pulse Nightclub Shooting

Friday marks 10 years since the tragedy that struck Orlando, when 49 people were killed in the Pulse nightclub shooting. The city will hold a remembrance ceremony and candle lighting to honor the victims and survivors.

Pulse Remembrance Ceremony

Leaders and community members will gather for the annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony at First United Methodist Church Orlando. The event will feature musical performances from local cultural artists, including the Orlando Gay Chorus and a special presentation by City of Orlando Poet Laureate Camara Gaither.

A candle lighting ceremony will follow the remembrance ceremony, including the reading of the 49 names and the ringing of the 49 bells. The event will take place on June 12 at 5:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Orlando.
