Brown had dropped off his children’s mother at the home of her fiancé, Raekwon Gonzalez, 27, when a family-related dispute led to Brown shooting Gonzalez multiple times. Gonzalez was unarmed at the time of the shooting. Brown fired the shots from inside his vehicle, where his two children were also present.
Orange City Police officers quickly secured the scene, rendered medical aid, and took Brown into custody without incident. Gonzalez was taken to the hospital, where he underwent surgery and was listed as stable. Brown was being held on no bond.
